Keywords – Keywords on the list are a combination of what you currently rank for (these will have a url on the right side to show which page is indexed) and what your competitors are ranking for. We have highlighted in green the keywords we are confident to get you to page 1 in 90 days and really increase the traffic to the website in a short period. All keywords highlighted in orange we would also recommend become a focus for improving further. These keywords, we feel are going to give you the best chance of increasing the traffic since they have a reasonable level of ranking difficulty based on the number of times they are searched each month. All keywords highlighted in grey are keywords your competitors rank for that could also give you an opportunity to build content/services around and rank for too.
Current Keywords – Overall you are ranking for a lot of keywords, but the keywords that are on page 1 seem to have low search volume. We have a real opportunuty to focus on the higher searched keywords that you are currently ranking for, that are positioned on page 2 of Google, and bring them to rank on page 1 and higher up towards those top 3 results on the search results page.
Note: Typically, by improving selected keywords, we see an improvement accross the board. Therefore by increasing the position of 20 focused keywords, you will see a spike in overall search traffic for those as well as others that your website is ranking for.
Organic Monthly Traffic – We have two different values here, 330 from Ahref’s and 1597 from Ubersuggest. Recently Ubersuggest has been known to over-exaggerate its data so it would be good to see your analytics to get an accurate reading.
Traffic value – According to Ahrefs your current traffic value is $338 which is the cost of which it would cost for that traffic to be received using paid ads, however, since our tools are showing a high volume of organic traffic we’d anticipate this to be higher. But we use this as a measure to understand how much value this monthly organic traffic brings and saves you on a regular basis, compared to if you were to buy the same quantity of traffic using paid advertisement (Google Ads).
Website conversion – From a conversion standpoint, there are no concerns with your website, meaning that we are confident that when you receive traffic, we would see a slightly higher than average number of people getting in touch, compared to your competitor’s websites.
Blogs – You and Cornwall Glass have a blog, neither is showing a publication date so it is hard to see the frequency, but is becoming more important to write accurate and informative blog articles around your industry and answer common questions. Google is really moving towards a content centric ranking algorithm so posting regular articles will help you continue to build authority with your website and the domain name. Cornwall Glass have a large number of pages indexed in Google and this is testament to the number of blog articles they have available on their website. We recommend you start increasing the number of articles on your website to increase traffic and domain authority.
Domain authority – Your domain authority is much lower than we would like, currently sitting at 0.8/100, and we’d ideally like this at least 15/100. This will be due to the lack of quality links back to your website. We need to start building a collection of high authority links back to your website to slowly increase the rating. Pro Glass 4 has a small domain rating of 2.2 so it would be very easy to beat those with keywords in the short term, while Cornwall Glass has a high rating of 36 and therefore will take a little bit longer.
Backlinks – You need to increase the number and quality of your backlinks, both Cornwall Glass and Pro Glass 4 have more backlinks than you. Backlinks will help improve the position of your website on Google the most. It is not always about volume, but what Google deems to be the best quality, therefore building a library of links back to your website that are deemed high quality are going to leverage the best results.
Domain Age – The domain age is in a Google position since it has been registered for over 10 years, this doesn’t show any signs of holding you back when it comes to improving keyword positions in the short term, or even starting to rank for new keywords.
Website Errors – There are a few errors to take into consideration that through fixing them can have an immediate positive impact on the SEO performance.
- 10 pages have a low word count
- 2 pages without a H1 heading
- 1 page returned 4XX status code
- 3 pages with a <title> tag that is too long
- 1 page with a <title> tag that is too short
- 2 pages with a poorly formatted URL for SEO
you are in a great position to start properly increasing the position of your already ranking keywords, eg taking keywords from page 2 and brining them up to page 1, plus improving the position of your page 1 keywords and taking them to the top 3 spots.
Your competitors are beating you by way of having a better domain authority and higher volumes of back links. With an SEO strategy that fixes your intiail errors, and focuses on backlink building and blog article creation, you will start to overtake them on the search reaults page.
